Defying Gravity (John Dotson’s dream of November 10, 2015)

A long, elaborate narrative in a detailed setting with many locations—interiors and exteriors. The general scenario is a “gathering” with substantive, integrative “purposefulness.” Many persons have converged. In a very natural way, I am aware that I can leap up and propel myself through space with lesser limitations of gravity. I can make my way through branches of trees, among beams and rafters, bouncing around to make various visitations among various participants with the greatest of ease. This capacity has no specific bearing on events, however. The others are not particularly concerned by or interested in my maneuverability, and that is good with me. I am not interested in drawing attention at all. It is a little like shape-shifting, in that I can move in a protean way through the drama, the others, the settings, the architectonics. This is a thrill, but at the same time, I feel adequately and thoroughly “grounded,” in that I am not totally gravity-free or non-oriented. There is a genuine joy as I transact in unusual ways and examine non-ordinary perspectives.
