The contemporary world cannot resist the pull of cyberspace. The cultural momentum is carrying us decisively in that direction, as we are swept up in the worldwide wave of email, google, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, and the like. As participants in the “global electronic village,” we’re more connected to each other now than ever before. But where are our bodies? The ties that link us in “virtual reality” obscure the flesh and bone of living discourse that once we intimately knew. Despite the possibility of soulful internet encounters, by and large we find ourselves increasingly immersed in a skeletal simulation of reality stripped of the carnal fullness that gives substance and concrete meaning to our experience. This website aims to put flesh on the bones of cyberspace through embodied dialogue.
