SAM (John Dotson’s dream of April 1, 2015)

I am very relaxed, dwelling in a large, complexly structured space that invites limitless imaginings for creativity. It is also my home.

I become aware that, right now, the Sublime Artist Mystic (SAM) has arrived and is relaxing in the living room area. I go over to make the connection. We speak concretely. He is totally unpretentious, deeply rooted in the now, and radically open to direct and immediate interplay. In fact, that is also exactly how I feel toward him. So there is a synsymmetrical match-up. I express in straightforward terms that there are vast options for working within this present space. To my surprise, he is not only receptive but also actively interested. I am amazed but not giddy.

At one point, I suggest that I can make coffee, and I make my way to the kitchen corner where two other guys in the entourage are talking together. I confirm that I can make coffee exactly as anyone wants, and am surprised that everyone says yes, including SAM. I am continually encouraged by the ease of conversation, the degree of empathy, the emerging resolution to work together, and even a clear sense of concrete patterns and forms.
